Portsmouth & Southsea Futsal Club signed off their final home league fixture of the season in style on Sunday 22nd March 2026, securing an impressive 5–3 win over Maidenhead United B at Cams Hill School.
In an entertaining and fast-paced encounter, Portsmouth & Southsea showed resilience and attacking quality to edge out their opponents, leading 3–2 at half time before pushing on to seal the victory in the second half.
The hosts made a strong start, with captain Aaron Tasker opening the scoring and setting the tone with a composed finish. Maidenhead responded, but Portsmouth & Southsea continued to press forward, with Sean Ikenye doubling the lead with a well-taken goal. Huxley Marshall then added a third before the break, ensuring the home side went into half time with a narrow but deserved 3–2 advantage.
The second half saw Portsmouth & Southsea maintain their intensity. Dennis Mason extended the lead with a crucial fourth goal, giving the team breathing space. Maidenhead continued to battle, but the game was effectively put to bed when Liam Brewer delivered a superb free kick to make it 5–3, capping off a strong attacking performance.
The result marks a welcome return to winning ways for Portsmouth & Southsea and provides the perfect ending to their home league campaign this season. The support at home has been a key factor throughout the campaign, and the team rewarded that backing with an exciting and determined display.
