PORTSMOUTH & SOUTHSEA FUTSAL CLUB LAUNCHES NEW UNDER 18s PATHWAY
Pompey Dons expand youth development programme with new Under 18s pathway, creating further opportunities for young players across Portsmouth and surrounding areas.
Portsmouth & Southsea Futsal Club are delighted to announce the launch of our brand-new Under 18s Futsal Pathway, marking another significant step forward in the club’s commitment to youth development and providing greater sporting opportunities within the local community.
The club will officially launch the programme with an open trial session on Wednesday 28th October 2026, from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at the Charles Dickens Centre, Portsmouth.
The introduction of the Under 18s pathway strengthens the club’s existing youth structure, offering young players the opportunity to continue their development beyond the traditional youth age groups while preparing for the demands of senior futsal.
With structured training sessions taking place every Wednesday, the programme will focus on developing technical ability, tactical understanding, physical performance and individual confidence within a competitive and supportive environment.
A key objective of the new pathway is to bridge the gap between youth and senior futsal, providing talented and committed players with a clear progression route towards representing Portsmouth & Southsea Futsal Club at senior level in the National Futsal League.
Beyond player development, the initiative reflects the club’s continued ambition to make futsal more accessible throughout Portsmouth, encouraging greater participation in sport and creating meaningful opportunities for young people to develop both on and off the court.
As the club continues to expand, the Under 18s programme represents an important investment in the future of futsal, with the long-term vision of developing homegrown talent capable of progressing through the club’s pathway and competing on the national stage.
